Metapraxis Partner Eskadern provides daily visual MI for the Sixth Swedish National Pension Fund

The Sixth Swedish National Pension Fund (the Sixth AP Fund) manages public pension funds to create high long-term returns and diversify risk by investing in Swedish small and medium-sized growth companies. The fund invests in a selection of private equity funds and directly owns shares in a number of small and medium-sized unlisted Swedish companies, thereby contributing to the development of Swedish industry.
Metapraxis' business partner in Scandinavia, Eskadern Företagsutveckling AB, has been working with the finance and business management teams of the Sixth AP Fund to create an interactive management dashboard that is used by all executives in the organisation. The Managing Director of the Sixth AP Fund, Erling Gustafsson, uses the facility as a one-stop shop for accessing key management information and the facility is also provided to the Business Area Managers, Treasury and the leadership and staff of the Finance and Administration functions.
The focus of the analysis is on Profit & Loss performance, Balance Sheet, Forecast P&L, Cash Flow and Committed Capital. The dashboard combines interactive tabular reporting with advanced graphical insights into current and future performance. All of the data is updated overnight, providing the latest valuations of funds and incorporating the effects of purchase or sale transactions from the previous day.
The first phase of the project has been successfully completed and the second phase will apply Metapraxis techniques to management information from direct investments made in unlisted companies.
