While predictions for 2020 also included holidays on the moon and nano-bots in our digestive tract replacing traditional food intake, it is undoubtedly the case that robotics and AI could be having a much bigger impact on our lives and jobs in 2020. Are our businesses failing to apply them effectively through incapability or vested interests?This paper has been produced following a round table discussion attended by representatives from industry, accounting firms, accounting bodies and financial journals and is primarily focused on the UK market.
