“Robots and artificial intelligence of various sorts will become an accepted part of daily life by the year 2020 and will almost completely take over physical work” Elon University noted in 2006.

While predictions for 2020 also included holidays on the moon and nano-bots in our digestive tract replacing traditional food intake, it is undoubtedly the case that robotics and AI could be having a much bigger impact on our lives and jobs in 2020. Are our businesses failing to apply them effectively through incapability or vested interests?
